Hi Virginia!
I know you are getting so excited about your first pixie-dusted trip to the
Walt Disney World Resort! Being able to start making all of your plans, including dining reservations, makes the magic feel like it is getting even closer, and using one of the
Dining Plans is a fantastic way to experience many of the
delectable dining options the Walt Disney World Resort has to offer! Luckily, your Dining Plan is already linked to your Resort Reservation, which
should also be linked to your
My Disney Experience account!
Although you will be using a Dining Plan during your magical vacation, you will still need to have a credit card on file to be able to make your dining reservations. The credit card is required to hold your reservation, but you will only be charged if you don't attend your reservation or if you cancel your reservation after the allowable cancellation window has ended. In either of these cases, you will be charged a cancellation fee.
The exception to this rule is that there are a few dining experiences, like
Cinderella's Royal Table, that require advanced payment. In this case, you will need to pay the full price of your meal when you book your reservation. When you arrive at the dining location, just let the server know that you will be using a Dining Plan, and they will be able to refund your payment and use your Table-Service Dining Entitlements to pay for your meal instead!
Have a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow!
