    We are planning our first trip to Disney and want to stay in a family suite at AOA. My parents want to stay with us but only stay for half the trip. Is this possible? Can they still get the meal package for the days they are staying?

    Thanks for reaching out to us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Disney's Art of Animation Resort is one of my favorite hotels at Walt Disney World Resort. It is so colorful, you will love it! The family suites are a wonderful choice and will give you plenty of room. 

    With the Disney Dining Plans, they are based on the number of nights that you have booked the hotel room. I am assuming with your question that your parents are staying the same suite as you are. If they are staying in their own suite, then they can purchase the Disney Dining Plan for the number of nights that they are staying. If they are staying with you in the same suite, then they must purchase the Disney Dining Plan for the entire length of stay in the suite (the same number of nights as you). If they are staying the same suite but fewer nights as you mentioned, it may make more sense for them to pay for their meals out of pocket.

    Another new option for dining at Walt Disney World Resort that may interest them is the "Dine-on-the-Go" plan, available from January 12 until February 22. This is a new plan, available to on-site and off-site guests, that includes 2 quick-service entrees and 2 non-alcoholic beverages at specific lunch and dinner time frames. This isn't tied to a resort reservation and as such can be purchased for as few or as many days as you would like.
