    We're planning our first trip to Disney in Jan 2009. We have been carefully planning our trip out, but haven't found any information on the best way to get from particular parks to other parks or resorts and vice versa. Where can I find this information?

    Hi Elizabeth,

    I am glad you are working on planning your trip now. It will really pay off when you are in the parks.

    If you are staying in a Walt Disney World Resort, I would take the Disney transportation. This includes the many buses, boat launches and the infamous monorail to get you to and from your resort and the parks.

    Going from resort to resort is a little more difficult but you need to plan in terms of what park is closest to the resort you want to go to and take that transportation. For example, you are staying at Port Orleans Riverside and want to go to the Polynesian for breakfast. Hop on a bus to Magic Kingdom from Riverside and then transfer to a boat or monorail to the Polynesian.

    If you are staying outside of Disney World, then a car is the way to go. However, you can use the Disney transportation to move between the parks and resorts. The problem is going back to get your car.

    If you decide to take a car and you are going to a different park later in the day, take your parking receipt so you do not pay again.

    My family always uses the Disney transportation and seldom have had a problem in our 15 plus vacations!
