Hi moms! Planning our first trip in Dec. '08. We have the Deluxe Dining Plan. I am trying to work in all three dinner shows as well as several character breakfasts into our agenda. Do you think that it will be too much. Traveling with a 3 and 5 yr. old

Well...  I have 1, 3, and 5 year olds and we'll be doing exactly that in a few months!

We love character meals and it's not uncommon for us to have one or two every day of our vacations.  I've heard people say that they felt it would be too much for the kids, but we find the opposite to be true.  At character meals the fun and excitement keeps the children occupied and they have less time to be restless.  My husband and I are able to slow down and have a relaxing meal while the kids enjoy their favorite characters - priceless!

The same is true for dinner shows as well.  The atmosphere is very kid-friendly (at the luau kids will even be invited to dance onstage!) and the meal just seems - easier.  And every parent knows what a blessing that is!

As far as the food goes, yes it will be too much!  :)  Remember to pace yourself, as the food is so delicious it's easy to get carried away and stuff yourself.  It's hard to enjoy the parks or the meals to come when you're overfull.  Trust me, I speak from experience!
