Hi Erin! Thanks for stopping by planDisney!
How exciting that you're already getting ready for your first stay at
The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort! When I was visiting
Walt Disney World Resort in December my friends and I ventured out to Fort Wilderness for dinner and it was a rootin'-tootin' good time! While the
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue was not available for dining reservations when we were there, this fun and family-friendly dinner show will officially reopen on June 23, 2022! Make sure to make your
Advance Dining Reservations for this show as it is NOT to be missed, plus the food is absolutely scrumptious!
Erin, you'll find that even though the
Meadow Swimmin' Pool will be closed for refurbishment while you're visiting the Resort, you're not out of luck when it comes to finding another old-fashioned swimming hole. The campground has another pool, the Wilderness Swimmin' Pool, which has plenty of room for you and your pals to swim, play or relax in the sun. This pool will still be open and available for your enjoyment while you play and stay at the most magical campground in the world. Unfortunately, pool hopping between Resorts is not usually allowed, so Guests from Fort Wilderness will not be able to use the pools at
Disney's Wilderness Lodge even during this time.
While you're visiting, I highly suggest an evening
water taxi ride from Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground over to
Magic Kingdom. After we had dinner, my friends and I sailed to Magic Kingdom just as the new fireworks show,
Disney Enchantment, was starting. It was such a beautiful and serene place to watch and it felt like a private fireworks show just for us!
I hope you and your party have the most magical vacation!
