We are planning my first kids trip to WDW and fly there Dec. 4-11th. I noticed that the dining plan isn't offered those dates. Is there a large event or crowd issues during that time that I should plan for? Do they ever extend the dining plan more?

    Hi Barb,

I'm unaware of any special events that would impact crowds. I've just checked the Crowd Calendar at the independent website TouringPlans.com. The average crowd level for the time period you mention is about a three on a scale of 1-10. This is very reasonable and would pose no worry to me at all. It may be that some sports competitions are taking place at that time. While these folks are in the hotels, they are primarily occupied with their events and don't venture into the parks much. My personal guess is that Disney will not extend free Dining, but that's only a guess, stranger things have happened. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!
