Hi! We are planning our FIRST family trip to Walt Disney World hopefully late May/early June 2016 and staying for 10-14 days. What would be the BEST way to plan this trip because we are a family of 5 and are on a budget? Thank you!

Hi, Tafatafa, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Early summer is a great time to visit Walt Disney World Resort for an extended vacation. This past summer, we enjoyed a 10-day stay and we would all do it again since this gave us time to experience so many great Disney activities outside of the theme parks.

During our long vacation, we spent two days at Magic Kingdom, two days at Epcot and one day each at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. This gave us plenty of time to hop on our favorite rides multiple times and see great nighttime spectaculars. One thing that we did not do, but wish we had, was to visit Disney’s water parks – Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach. Since you have plenty of time during your stay, I would spread out the days that you visit the theme parks and sprinkle around relaxing days at your Resort or at the water parks. If you do add the Water Park Fun & More option to your theme park tickets, you can experience DisneyQuest Indoor Interactive Theme Park at Downtown Disney. Also included with this ticket option is admission to Walt Disney World’s miniature golf courses, Winter Summerland and Fantasia Gardens, prior to 4:00 P.M.

I hope this information helps you plan a magical vacation. Please let us know if you have any further questions.
