I am planning our first family trip to disney world for december 10, 2011. I want to know about eating lunch or dinner with the princesses. Do i need reservations, how much does it cost, will all the princesses be there, where can i make reservations?

Hi Christina! I still tear up when I think about the first time I took my little daughter to dine with the Disney princesses -- it was such a magical experience! Disney offers several opportunities for you to meet the princesses while you enjoy a meal.

My personal favorite is Cinderella's Royal Table, where you can have breakfast, lunch, or dinner inside Cinderella's Castle in the Magic Kingdom. Cinderella poses for photos with guests in the lobby and other princesses stop by your table as you dine. The specific princesses appearing vary, but we've seen Aurora, Snow White, Ariel, Belle, and Jasmine there in the past. The fixed-price meal includes a photo package and a few special gifts for the kids, and the cost varies depending on which meal you book. (Breakfast is the cheapest.) You can view pricing details, the menu, and make reservations online by clicking here. Dining in the Castle is very popular, so be sure to book this experience well in advance.

At Epcot, Akershus in Norway also offers breakfast, lunch and dinner with the princesses. The setting is very castle-like and my daughter enjoyed participating in a princess procession throughout the restaurant. Click here for all the details and to make reservations.

You can also have dinner with Cinderella, Prince Charming and other members of her royal family at 1900 Park Fare in the Grand Floridian resort. Click here for pricing and reservation information for this buffet character meal.

Whichever meal you choose, if you have a little girl who enjoys dressing up, make sure she wears her princess gown and tiara! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions!
