Hello! We are planning our FIRST family trip to Disney!! We have two boys, 6 and 3. We want to stay at a resort, have a dining plan, and spend the majority of our time at Magic Kingdom. We are planning on visiting in April. Any suggestions for must sees?

    Dear Kara,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! There is truly nothing like seeing Walt Disney World Resort through the eyes of your children for the first time! The best advice I have for you is that no matter WHAT you plan, the kids will have an amazing time and will be wide-eyed and taking in everything that there is to do!

With that being said, there are some great ways to plan ahead so that you can have a pixie-dusted experience! I think it's great that you plan on staying on property, because the perks are terrific! The first step is to choose your dates and determine the hotel that you would like, based on your budget, desired location, and amenities.

The Disney Dining Plan is also a wonderful choice with lots of flexibility, so I'm glad that you are planning that.

The Magic Kingdom is a wonderful destination for children the ages of your children, and their individual personalities will help determine what attractions will be the most fun for them! I recommend Peter Pan's Flight and The Barnstormer to start, and then depending on their interests and level of tolerance of thrill, you can go from there! They might also really enjoy being transformed at the The Pirates League! That is super fun!

Hope that you have an absolutely MAGICAL first trip!
