We are planning our first family trip to Disney in July. My question is: How do you know which resturaunts are quick service meals? Are they labeled in some way?

Hi Jessica! How exciting to be planning your family's first Walt Disney World vacation! You're going to have so much fun!

You'll find Quick Service meals at the "fast food" type of restaurant -- the kind where you go up to a counter to place your order and pay, and then carry your food to your table on a tray or, in a few cases, wait for it to be brought to you. On the Disney Dining Plan, meals at the these counter-service style restaurants and meals at resort food courts cost one Quick Service credit. The Quick Service Disney Dining Plan brochure lists these restaurants, and castmembers are always happy to help if you have questions about what you can buy with your Quick Service credits.

In contrast, Table Service credits can be redeemed at buffets, character meals, and sit-down restaurants for which you can make dining reservations and where you're seated at a table, order from a menu and a server brings you your food.

We'd love to help if you have more questions! Come visit us again here at the Moms Panel!
