We are planning our first ever trip to WDW for September 2014. I think we have decided to stay at the Grand Floridian. Being a first-timer, and traveling with a 3 and 5 year old girls, is there a specific room or building area we should request? Thanks!

My family and I have become Grand Floridian regulars, so I am glad to help out!

Because the resort is not as spread as some others, and walking distances seem more manageable, I think that Sago Cay and Conch Key are the best. They get you away from the pools, and the noise they can create. And the waterside setting, even if you don't face that way, can be a nice exploration area.

Write me back if you have more Grand Floridian-specific questions, as I am prepping now for a visit in October, so I would love to share!

Have a magical (or in this case, Grand) vacation!
