Welcome aboard, Wael!
What an amazing vacation you have in store when you head out to sea on the
Disney Magic in Europe next summer! My adventures with
Disney Cruise Line in Europe were so memorable and I just can't wait to experience it all again!
Guests are certainly not required to book
Port Adventures through Disney Cruise Line. That being said, I do highly recommend it over booking through an outside excursion company. I love that Disney does so much research into each port and really makes the adventures perfect for their guests. Most adventures meet onboard the ship and walk off together as a group, meaning you don't have to navigate the port area alone. The ship is always in contact with the adventure guides if a problem arises that has the adventure getting back in later than expected. I feel very confident knowing that, so that my family and I don't end up on our own in the port area and run into unexpected traffic that could have us missing the ship's departure. Another plus to booking with Disney is that if for some reason you get into port late that day, your adventure guide is notified and can't start the adventure without the guests. If you book on your own and the ship comes in later than expected, you may miss your tour and not be refunded.
Letting Disney take care of all of the details of your Port Adventures really helps make your experience smooth and stress-free, Wael. Have fun planning, and please stop back with more questions as you continue to count down to this big trip. We're happy to help!
