Ahoy, Diana!
You've made the magical decision to set sail on your inaugural voyage with Disney Cruise Line! I know Mickey, Minnie, and the rest of their seafaring crew cannot wait for you to join them on a high sea adventure. And I believe this will be the first of many pixie-dusted sailings for your family once you experience
all the MAGIC and WONDER that comes from a cruise with Disney. I'm SO excited for you!
Diana, you'll find the
stateroom accommodations very family-friendly aboard Disney Cruise Line. There are fantastic storage options (don't forget to utilize the space under the bed!) and most rooms offer a split-bath design. This feature is great for when everyone is trying to get ready at the same time! You'll also be happy to know a curtain can be drawn between the queen bed and the other sleeping accommodations to create two separate areas. Speaking of sleeping, many staterooms do offer the upper-berth pull-down beds, but not all. On a few cruises I've only taken my Mouseketeers when my Prince Charming had to stay home to work, and we have been in Deluxe Oceanview staterooms that have only slept three Guests, so these did not offer pull-down beds. If you are a family of four or five, rest assured, you will have an upper-berth pull-down bed.
To check out which
staterooms sleep four Guests, Diana, you'll want to explore the
deck plans for the
ship you are planning to sail on. You can click on the various rooms, and you'll see the number of Guests for each option you select. You can also call Disney Cruise Line at (800) 951-3532 to speak to a Cruise Reservation Agent.
I'm so glad you stopped by to "sea" us, Diana. I remember being a first-timer with lots of questions, so we hope to
hEAR from you again real soon.
Happy Planning!
Nancy
