Hey there, hi there, Sarah! Welcome, and thanks so much for sailing on in with your question.
Dining is a HUGE part of cruising, and
Disney Cruise Line absolutely makes dining part of the cruise experience. With the incredible themes in the main dining rooms to the phenomenal offerings available at
Mickey & Friends Festival of Foods, meals are a bit of an art form on the
Disney Wish.
When it comes to
special dietary needs, you'll find that all of the restaurants in your main dining rotation will have allergy-friendly menus that specifically spell out which menu items will be safe for those who eat gluten-free. The Bayou does not currently have gluten-free beignets, but definitely check when you board the ship, as a lot can change between now and your sailing next November.
As far as room service, Disney Cruise Line does their best to accommodate special dietary considerations, and you should absolutely ask when you place your room service order about the gluten-free choices, however, keep in mind that some options depend on supply chain and vendor availability. The same is true of the counter service locations onboard.
Sarah, when you go to the main dining rooms, make sure to ask for the allergy-friendly menus for your mom, so that she won't have to worry about finding something safe for her to eat on the regular menu. The allergy-friendly menu is pretty extensive, and there will be options for everything from appetizers to desserts and even bread service.
Have an absolutely amazing time on your upcoming voyage!
Anna
