    We are planning our first Disney Cruise and will be leaving from Galvaston. We'd like to arrive the day before and leave our car at the hotel. Does Disney offer a shuttle service from any area hotels? Or is it better to park in the port lot? Thank you.

    It's WONDERful to hEAR that you'll be embarking on your first Disney Cruise out of Galveston very soon! My crew always likes to arrive the day prior to departure to make our embarkation day a little more relaxed. Since you're driving you do have the option to select a Galveston area hotel of your choice and drive to the port to park or stay at The San Luis Resort, Spa and Conference Center in Galveston and take Disney Cruise Line ground transfers. If you decide to stay at the resort Disney has partnered with you'll need to purchase the ground transportation if you want to leave your car. I could not find any parking fees listed on the San Luis website, but I do know that the Disney Cruise Line ground transfers are currently $45.00 per person each way (always subject to change). Parking fees at the Port of Galveston range from $45.00 for a 4-night cruise to $70.00 for a 7-night cruise. There is a $5.00 discount if you purchase your parking in advance (www.portofgalveston.com). This may be your best option depending on how many family members are in your crew, Jennifer.
