We are planning our first cruise and would like to sail as early as July 29, 2017. When reading the dining reservations, first time cruiser can book dining as early as 75 days. Thoughts on the chances we will not get a dining reservation?

Welcome aboard, Aileen! I’m so happy to hear that you’re planning a last minute cruise with Captain Mickey and his crew on Disney Cruise Line! You will be so thrilled to experience all the magic and enchantment that awaits you at sea with Disney!

Don’t worry about dining reservations because Disney has you covered! Guests are assigned a dining rotation that takes them through all three of the main Table Service restaurants throughout the sailing. Your dining service team even rotates with you each night, so the dining servers that you meet on night one will stay with you throughout your cruise, no matter which restaurant you’re assigned each night. No reservations needed, as Disney will give you a listing of your rotation and your table will be waiting for you in your assigned restaurant each night! My family and I love meeting our dining servers who become like family by our last night onboard. My kids adore the games, puzzles, jokes and riddles they play with them over dinner. Such added magic! And you'll love that all of this dining is included in the cost of your cruise!

The only dining reservations that you’d need are if you decide to dine in one of the Adult Exclusive restaurants, Palo or Remy. These do carry an additional cost and require advanced reservations which can be made during online check-in (75 days prior for first time cruisers), but you can always ask onboard and hope to snag any remaining reservations once you’re on the ship too!

I hope that clears things up for you as you get ready to book this adventure! Have such a magical cruise, Aileen!
