Hello, We are planning our first cruise. 4night Bahamas from port can. 4 boys age 1,6,12,14,15 one girl 7, 6 adults. Are there any port adventures you recommend that we could all enjoy also any ship activities(Magic) not to miss? Any info appreciated!

    Ahoy Christine!
I'm so excited to hEAR you are planning your first voyage onboard the most magical cruise line on the high seas! I'm sure you have lots of questions about embarking on this new adventure so I'm going to do my best to give you as much information as possible, but please follow-up if you think of anything else!
It's always wonderful to venture ashore to explore the beautiful ports of call offered by DCL. In Nassau, the Nassau Forts and Junkanoo Discovery is a very popular tour for Guests of all ages so you will want to book this one early if this appeals to your group. Another option is to look into the Atlantis Aquaventure at the Atlantis resort. Here you will enjoy some splashtacular fun at their water park by zipping down the waterslides and cooling off in the wave pool. Your ticket will also include an opportunity to see the aquariums. If you do choose this adventure, be sure to bring a credit card along because cash is not widely accepted at the resort.
When you visit Castaway Cay, Disney's amazing private island, your family will be able to enjoy relaxing under the umbrellas on the family beach and swimming in the calm lagoon. If you want to explore the natural beauty of the island, your crew can rent bicycles and go out on the flat terrain together. Bicycles of all sizes are available including ones with training wheels and baby seats.
There are many ways for your family to enjoy the ship. Your daily cruise newsletter, the Personal Navigator, will be your guide to family fun each day! Be sure to pay close attention to the column "FUN FOR ALL AGES" because this is where you will find activities for your entire crew like family deck parties, game shows, animation classes, variety shows, Broadway-style productions, Bingo, crafts, games, trivia and much more! You can also enjoy youth activities as a family when the youth clubs offer Open Houses.
I hope this helps, Christine! Please write back as you think of more questions!
