We are planning to take our very first cruise next summer (2017). Do we have to reserve times for our 7 year old in the childcare center or do we just drop him off whenever we need to? Also, where do we get the form to fill out about him for his ID band?

    Ahoy Amanda!
Welcome to the Disney Park Moms Panel! Planning your very first Disney Cruise is such an exciting time, and you've definitely come to the right place with your questions. Your prince is going to have an absolute blast during his time in the Oceaneer Club and Lab! My son has spent countless hours of our cruise vacations enjoying not only the imaginative and innovative spaces, but also the youth counselors that make sure everything is safe and fun. Many times we can't get him to come out because he's having such a good time. A couple of his favorite activities are Super Sloppy Science, the Piston Cup and his number one-GaGa Ball! The hours of operation run from around 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 or 1:00 a.m.
He will wear a Disney Cruise Line Youth Activities MagicBand during the cruise. It will be used for checking in and out and also to help locate him when you come to pick him up. Once you are logged in to your cruise reservation, you'll find a place to register your son for the Oceaneer Club and Lab under "My Cruise Reservations." This registration, along with the information you entered when you booked your cruise, will be used for the youth programming. He'll get his MagicBand either at the terminal or you can stop by the club and/or lab after boarding the ship.
I'm so glad you stopped by, Amanda!
    Have a magical day!
