Hello! I am planning our very first cruise experience and i am looking at going in January. My only concern is the weather. We'll do the 5-night carribean cruise on 1/24 in Disney Wonder.

Welcome aboard, Hermielou! I'm so excited to hear that you're planning your very first cruise with Disney! I love planning every cruise we take with Captain Mickey, but there is certainly something very special about getting all the plans in order for the first-ever Disney Cruise Line experience! You're in for so much magic!

My family has sailed in January and in February on the ships and we've experienced wonderfully warm weather each time. In fact, earlier this year, I was on the Magic for a six-night sailing the last week of January into the first week of February, similar to what you'll experience next year. Our weather was perfect! It was a bit cool and breezy leaving the port, but once we hit the Caribbean, the weather was perfect in the 70's and 80's. In fact, on a couple of Port Adventures we were downright hot! At night, I liked to have my sweater handy for cool, breezy evenings on deck and during at-sea days, but other than that, it felt like summer!

I'd suggest checking the weather at your ports of call the week before you set sail just to be sure of the forecast. But, I am betting you're in for a wonderful escape from the winter chills at home when you set sail with Disney for the warm waters of the Caribbean, Hermielou!

Let me know if you have other questions as you continue to plan your cruise. I'm happy to help!
