Planning a Feb 6-12th 2011 visit to Disney. The 180 day reservation window is coming up this week. How can one plan reservations when the Disney folks have not released 2011 package deals or parade, Extra Magic Hour, and entertainment schedules?

    Erin,

Lately I have found that while it is close, Disney has been posting the Extra Magic Hours pretty near to the 180 day window. Certainly all the Walt Disney World Moms Panelists have been ‘voicing’ our request for more, earlier, info to the folks at Disney!

So basically the 2011 deals/pricing got announced in early August. As you probably know, AFTER you asked your question they posted them (isn’t that always the way?). And the February 2011 park hours are posted too, though all the individual show times will not all be up right away. They seem to trail in afterwards.

But here is what advice I would provide. The only thing that really matters is Extra Magic Hours, and maybe the time of major fireworks shows like Wishes, Fantasmic, and IllumiNations. Since you have the hours now, I would say that with fireworks it is always safe to assume they are timed to the park closing.

I know. Not perfect. But we are trying to help Disney get there. Together I think we can do it!
Does that help? Probably not enough, but let me know if I can help further!

    Have a magical vacation!
