Welcome back to planDisney, Amanda! A father-daughter trip to the Happiest Place on Earth is such a wonderful surprise, and with all the excitement surrounding Disneyland’s 70th anniversary, your visit is sure to be even more magical. But more on that in a moment!
I took a peek at the
Daily Events Schedule, which lists entertainment showtimes for the
Disneyland Resort, and it looks like schedules for parades, fireworks, and other nighttime spectaculars haven’t been released yet beyond Thursday, May 15. That’s completely normal. Full entertainment schedules typically roll out closer to the date of a visit. Since this calendar also influences the scheduling of select dining options, the times for the
World of Color Happiness! dessert parties may become available later this month. Based on the current pattern, I’d recommend checking back around April 13 to see if you can book your dessert party experience.
And now, back to the big celebration, Amanda! Your visit is perfectly timed for an event that will be nothing short of spectacular:
Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary Celebration! Kicking off on May 16, the parks will be brimming with entertainment and dazzling experiences. The beloved
Wondrous Journeys nighttime spectacular will once again illuminate Sleeping Beauty Castle with stunning Disney animation, music, and fireworks. Over on Main Street,
Paint the Night will return, glowing with thousands of twinkling lights. And on the façade of “it’s a small world”, the
Tapestry of Happiness Projection Show will showcase heartwarming Disney moments. Meanwhile, over at Disney California Adventure,
Carthay Circle Theatre will set the stage for a special musical moment, and the
Better Together parade will return, featuring up to 30 Pixar Pals, including some rarely-seen favorites!
For your trip, I wanted to share a couple of special offers that might add some extra pixie dust to your plans. If you still need theme park tickets, you can purchase a
3-Day, 1-Park Per Day Ticket for $120 per day. And if you're looking for a hotel stay, check out the
special offers available for Disneyland Resort hotels: guests visiting between May 16 and September 27 can save up to 30% on select stays. A little extra magic never hurts!
No matter what you choose, Amanda, you and your father are in for an unforgettable trip filled with happiness, nostalgia, and plenty of Disney magic. If you have any more questions or need additional planning tips, visit us again at planDisney. We’d love to help!
Have a magical visit!
