I am planning my family's 2nd trip for March. My first trip I learned that Guest Relations gives buttons for birthday guests and 1st time guests. I have also just read that you could ask for a hidden Mickey guide. My question is what all do they offer?

    Brandy,

Let me take these one at a time.

Yes, they offer buttons for birthdays, first time guests, newly engaged or married couples, and a variety of other celebrations! I recommend grabbing them. Just ask at guest relations. And no, they don't expect proof. We often celebrate our kids November birthdays on our trips in October, as the trip is their present. Plus, there is nothing nicer than having people wish you a happy birthday as you make your way through the parks!
As for the Hidden Mickey guide, there is a book you can buy in most hotel gift shops, as well as select in-store parks. Steven Barrett's book is a great way to get into some of the details of the parks, and having a hidden Mickey contest with your traveling party is a fun way to see the parks in a new light! (Wish I had thought of that!). And as it happens, Steve is a pretty great guy!
Those are two of my favorite things at Walt Disney World. As for other things that are offered, there is so much that you just find as you go exploring. Ask for a Driver's License at the Tomorrowland Motor Speedway, or perhaps a monorail pilot's license when zipping over to the Magic Kingdom. These can be a fun way to make the experience come to life for your kids.

BOTTOM LINE: Don't ever EXPECT these things, but know that whey they come your way, they are a free, fun way to make for a special memory.

    Have a magical vacation!
