Hi Emily!
Welcome to planDisney! There’s nothing like your family’s very first Disney World trip! I’m so excited for you!
Let’s chat about a good
Lightning Lane Multi Pass strategy so you can make the most of your Magic Kingdom day!
When booking Lightning Lane pre-selections, one thing I’ve noticed is that the system doesn’t allow too much overlap with dining reservations and Enchanting Extra experiences (like
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique). So, there’s a good chance that your first pre-selection of the day won’t be until after breakfast at
Cinderella’s Royal Table.
With how much fun you’ll be having that morning, though, I don’t think that will be a bad thing! I’d aim to have a Lightning Lane booked for a ride in Fantasyland as early as the system will let you. That way, as soon as you’re done with breakfast, you can easily walk over to the attraction.
If it were me, I’d probably try to book
Peter Pan’s Flight (pending availability), and I’d aim for a return time around 11:10 AM if possible. You’ll have a one-hour return time for each attraction, so even if your breakfast reservation lasts a little longer, you’ll still have time to make it to your Lightning Lane.
It’s good to note that Peter Pan’s Flight is a tier 1 attraction, though. So, if there’s a different tier 1 attraction that’s a higher priority for you, I’d book your higher priority tier 1 attraction instead.
For your other two Lightning Lane pre-selections, I would choose attractions that are priorities for your family but also tend to be harder to get on your park day.
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh,
Haunted Mansion,
Pirates of the Caribbean, or
Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin would be great options.
Remember, every time you scan into a Lightning Lane on your park day, you’ll be able to book any other available Lightning Lane. But if there’s an attraction you were hoping for that’s no longer available, it's worth checking back here and there. Sometimes the availability will change throughout the day.
I hope that helps! Let us know if any other questions pop up as you continue to plan your trip!
