I am planning to take my family to WDW in less then a week....so much for the well planned vacaction huh? Can I still purchase the dining plan or would it not be worth it for time time to make reservation is just not there?

It's hard to say really, but you're definitely cutting it close.  I'm not sure when exactly you leave but I think you need to call tomorrow if you have any chance of getting this done.

I would start by choosing what meals your family would like to try and then call Disney Dining (407-WDW-DINE) to see what is available.  It will not be easy to book but you never know what is possible until you try, and that will give you your answer.  If you can schedule several table service meals then you will be able to determine if the dining plan will be a good value for you.  If you can't get the meal reservations then you'll know that it won't work (and maybe you can try it on your next vacation instead!)

You will need to act very quickly though.  If you decide you want to purchase the dining plan you must do so at least 48 hours in advance.

    Good luck!
