I am planning our family vacation for 2-8 July. We (2 adults & daughter - 7 years) will be visiting WDW from South Africa, and need all the advice you can possibly give us on things like where to stay, must-see and do & budget as we've never visted

Hi, Antoinette!  I think you and I are going to need to talk a bit, so keep the webpage handy!

Walt Disney World has options that accommodate any budget.  If you want the least expensive accommodations, there are Value options, including Pop Century and the All Star Resorts (Sports, Music, and Movies).  You could splurge on a deluxe resort, which offers sit down restaurants and maybe convenient monorail access.  Options in this category include the Polynesian Resort, the Grand Floridian, and Wilderness Lodge.  If you're looking for something in between, you'll find that, too.  With resorts such as Port Orleans French Quarter, Coronado Springs, and the Caribbean Beach resort, there is a moderate resort themed to your vacation dreams.

You might opt for a dining plan, to help you stay on budget.  Several options are available, but will generally include at least two meals daily, with snacks and drinks.  Otherwise, your dining options run the gamut from carts that offer everything from ice cream to turkey legs to signature dining experiences.

Must sees include the Magic Kingdom, which in my opinion is the crown jewel of Walt Disney World.  All of the classics are here - the Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, It's a Small World, and Space Mountain.  Plus you'll find guest favorites like Splash Mountain and Buzz Lightyear.  It's great for all ages!  I also really love EPCOT, with it's tour "around the world" with the World Showcase.  Taste international cuisine, enjoy cultural attractions, and ride some of the most exciting attractions - like Test Track or Mission: Space.

I can help you more specifically if you want to send a follow up question about your budget and your likes and dislikes.  I want to make sure you have an awesome vacation!
