    We are planning a family vacation to Disney for my daughter's 5th birthday. We are going September 6th - 13th. Is the Mickey's Halloween Party going to be taking place that early, or are we going to miss it by a week?

    How exciting you will be visiting Walt Disney World for your daughter's 5th birthday, Jennifer! I personally think the "Happiest Place on Earth" is the perfect destination for a birthday celebration! Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is my absolute favorite special event held at Walt DIsney World each year! After all, what can be better than trick-or-treating throughout Magic Kingdom Park wearing your Halloween finest and watching Mickey's "Boo-to-You" Halloween Parade and Happy HalloWishes?  Unfortunately, dates for the 2013 Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Parties have not been announced at this time. In 2012, the first Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party was held on Tuesday, September 11th at Magic Kingdom Park. In 2011, the first party was held on Tuesday, September 13th. The dates are usually similar each year. I personally think your chances are very good for being able to experience this festive special event during your vacation. I would recommend checking the DIsney Parks Blog periodically for any official announcements regarding 2013 dates for Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. I hope this information helps!
