Hello, I am planning a family trip to WDW We have 8 people total and a variety of different park tickets needed. We plan to stay 9/31-10/4 I was wondering how is the best way to go about this. We will need 2 rooms.

    Hi Lexis,

Welcome to planDisney!  We are so glad that we can help guests like you with their upcoming Disney vacations.  I am happy to answer your question on planning a Walt Disney World vacation for a large party.  Organizing a family trip can be tough, especially when incorporating members who have different travel likes or wants.  Thankfully, your trip can have the best of everything for everyone!

Purchasing Walt Disney World tickets is quite easy online.  Luckily, you do not need to have every guest on the same ticket plan. There are options for all guests, depending on their need.  As I see that you will be traveling soon, bear in mind that currently all tickets are for one park per day.  There is no park hopper option available at this time.  You may purchase 1 to 7 day tickets and can vary it depending on the needs of your party members. Once you have purchased tickets online, you may link them to your family members on the My Disney Experience App.  If your family members have created a profile, you can link the tickets to them.  If they have not, you may create a profile for them, and link the ticket afterwards. Once all the tickets are linked, you will be able to create Disney Parks Pass reservations for your entire party.

As you mentioned in your question, you will be needing two rooms.  The resorts at Walt Disney World cater to all types of budgets and experiences.  The value resorts offer larger than life themes, spacious rooms and are budget friendly.  One of my favorite value resorts is Disney's Pop Century Resort.  The moderate resorts offer guests beautiful ambiance, great dining options and  pools that are unique to each resort.  My favorite moderate resort is Disney's Carribean Beach Resort.  If you are feeling like a luxury stay is in the cards, then I would suggest Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa.  The ultimate in Disney's deluxe resorts, the Grand Floridian sits on lush grounds, Victorian decor, and amazing views of Cinderella Castle.  You can book two rooms at any of these resorts either online or by calling guest assistance, and request connecting rooms so that you and your family are able to access each other at any time.

Hope this helps you plan your magical vacation and please feel free to ask us again!
