We are planning a family trip to DW in Sept/Oct. Our kids will be 3 and 5 and we'd like to take them to one of the water parks. Which one is best suited for young children and can we rent beach towels there as opposed to bringing them from home?

In my opinion, Blizzard Beach is the better water park for younger kids. There is an entire area there called Tikes Peak that is designed for the 2-6 age range. There is a zero-entry pool-type area with waterfalls and fountains, some mini-slides, and even some mini-raft rides that are perfectly suited to youngsters.

There are towels for rent at the water parks. Prices can change, but in early 2008, the towels were $1.00 each per day. I wouldn't exactly call them beach towels; they're not that big and not that thick. We usually end up renting two towels per person and that seems to do the trick. I much prefer to rent towels than have to lug them from the hotel and then back (when they're wet).  When you're done, you just drop them in one of the many towel return bins located all over the parks.
