    Planning a family trip Dec 10 - 17 for 8 adults, 6 yr old girl, 5 yr old boy & 2 yr old girl. Looking for suggestions on what to do as a whole family and how to get each some separate family time (4 separate groups). First trip for the youngest 2 kids.

    Christina,

    You are smart to know that you probably don't want to travel as an 11-person group throughout the whole trip. Here are some thoughts;

    • Plan a group meal for every other day, or possibly daily. Let this be your "together time", where you share stories of what you have experienced, and plans for what you are going to do next. Dinners are best, since they are less hurried. (Suggestions: Whispering Canyon Cafe, Hoop Dee Doo Review, Chef Mickey's).
    • Plan two adult nights out. Let one set of adults watch all three kids one of those nights, and then someone else does it another. That way everyone ends up with at least one adult night out. I would recommend visiting the Epcot World Showcase, and enjoying one of the table service restaurants, then fireworks to end the night.(Suggestions: Restaurant Marrakesh, Le Cellier)
    • Consider each group picking a different park on a given day, knowing that you won't see each other. That can give you a personal vacation experience, but you still can meet up for dinner. Whoever has the Animal Kingdom can pair that with Downtown Disney.
    • Try to get all three kids together for one day at the Magic Kingdom. But don't do it on the FIRST visit to the Magic Kingdom. Let that be a personal family experience.
    If you want further ideas, or suggestions on any of these here, please write me back and we can dive deeper.

    Have a magical vacation!
