Hello Robert!
I hope when I am 91 I am still able to visit the
Walt Disney World Resort! I can’t imagine I will ever feel too old for the magic, I just hope my body can keep up!
If there is availability at your resort, you can go ahead and
book another room for your mom. I will mention that October is coming up very soon and you may not find availability at this point. With the
Golden Anniversary Celebration for the Walt Disney World Resort beginning October 1, things are booking quickly. Perhaps mom could stay in one of the other rooms if one of them isn't at full occupancy? If you are unable to book the room you want, I do recommend checking back frequently as other Guests can and do cancel.
Robert, do know that even though you have four rooms that you booked previously, this doesn’t necessarily mean that your rooms will be next to each other. You could be on opposite sides of the resort. Booking at the same time doesn't guarantee you'll be together. You can book online and then call booking, or you can call to book initially, but
you will want to call at some point to have a code attached to all your reservations that you are a group traveling together. Make sure to call several weeks to a month before your visit. Don't wait until a few days before as room assignments will already be determined at that point. When the Cast Members in charge of room assignments see this code on your reservation, they will do their best to put you in rooms near one another. This is only a request though, and cannot be guaranteed. I would estimate that on my trips my request is met approximately 75% of the time. I would also ask the Cast Member on the phone if they can put a note that your mom is elderly and may need additional help. This information increases the chances that mom's room will be close to yours.
Sending you pixie dust that you find that perfect reservation, Robert! And I hope your mom has a magical time with her grandchildren!
