Hi, we are planning a family reunion to celebrate my daughter's birthday, she's turning 4 What is the distance approximately from The little mermaid rooms to the Lobby, and to the SkyLiner? What is the weather like in early January?

    Hi Javier!
Welcome to planDisney! I’m so glad you found us to ask your questions!

Let’s start with the weather in Orlando in January. It is one of the BEST months to visit, since it doesn’t rain very much! That being said, I would NEVER recommend heading to the parks without ponchos or umbrellas, just in case! The average temperature is also in the high 60s/low 70s, which makes for a lovely day! Sweatshirts and jackets are a must-have for the evenings.

You’ve made the wise decision to stay at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, which is so perfect for your daughter! I bet she will absolutely love the colorful statues and your Little Mermaid themed room! The Little Mermaid rooms are among some of the farthest from both the lobby and the Disney Skyliner, so definitely plan to bring your own stroller to give your princess a lift to and from the Disney transportation options.

Now, your little princess is turning 4, which is SO FUN! Maybe consider taking her to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for the royal princess treatment if it is open. You can also get Celebration buttons for the entire family from the front desk at Art of Animation or at most retail locations on property. Also, since you have a family reunion, be sure to add Memory Maker onto your reservation, so that you can enjoy all of the professional photos taken in the parks, plus 13 attraction photos, and 8 dining location photos.

I hope your family has an enchanted vacation in January! Please visit us again with more planning questions.

Happy Planning, and Happy early Birthday to your Princess,
    Tracy
