We are planning a fall 2013 vacation to WDW with our 5 and 3 year old boys. We stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge last year and LOVED everything about it. Do we attempt somewhere else (maybe Wilderness Lodge) or stick with AK? Pools & play areas are ke

    Lesley,

This is an argument my wife and I have all the time. In our case it is about the Grand Floridian. I want to keep exploring new areas, but my wife likes to stick to what she knows, and the amenities that our resort offers.

MY PLAN: So with kids your ages, I would say either try the Grand Floridian or Polynesian (for monorail access and mostly comparable pool experiences), or the Wilderness Lodge (for boat access to the Magic Kingdom and similarly robust theming).

MY WIFE'S PLAN: My wife, on the other hand would tell you to stick to what you know and love.

BOTTOM LINE: As long as you were happy with the transportation solutions from the Animal Kingdom Lodge to the parks and Downtown Disney, I would let my wife's argument win out here. Stay with what you know. When your boys are older, say 7 and 9, maybe move on to trying the Beach Club? But for now enjoy the exotic familiarity of your Disney home!

Didn't you know I would concede to my wife's opinion?

    Have a magical vacation!
