Planning a end of March 2015 vacation with our 11 year old daughter. Hotel recommendations would be great. So many to choose from. Any suggestions? moderate to value would probably be in our budget.

Hello, Jami! I know firsthand how difficult it is to choose the right Disney Resort hotel because there are so many wonderful options to choose from!

The Moderate Resort category offers many great options for your 11-year old, with subtle theming, pools with water slides and other available onsite activities.

Both Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter and Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside offer gorgeous and spacious rooms, onsite dining options, and beautifully-themed pools. The Royal Guest Room beds at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside even have fiber-optic lights in the headboards, so you can enjoy a little "fireworks" display in your room.

You can find pirate-themed rooms and white-sand beaches at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, also in the Moderate Category. If your daughter enjoys swimming, make sure to check out the Spanish-inspired pool with water slides and water cannons! It really is the perfect spot to get lost in a daydream.

The Value Resort category also offers several great options for your tween, but my personal favorite is Disney's Pop Century Resort. This groovy resort is the home of larger-than-life pop culture icons from the past, and offers a food court and an arcade.

One last tip: When I start planning my family's vacations, I look at each resort's proximity to the theme parks. This might be a good idea for you to help narrow down your options even more.

If you need any additional help, please do not hesitate to contact the Moms Panel. I hope you have a magical trip, Jami!
