I am planning a Eaaster 2013 vacation with 4 adults and three children. The accomodations for this size of a family seems very high. We want a kitchen etc. not a kitchen that turns into a bed. Is there any specials coming up for a 2 or 3 bedroom.

    Hi Mike,

The only rooms at Walt Disney World with full kitchens (not kitchenettes) are the one, two, and three bedroom villa units at Disney's Vacation Club resorts. The hotels which have these are: Beach Club, Boardwalk, Bay Lake Tower (Contemporary), Animal Kingdom Lodge, Old Key West, Saratoga Springs, and Wilderness Lodge. If one of the children in your group is under the age of three, then you would also be able to stay in a Fort Wilderness cabin, which also has a real kitchen. If you want a villa, then with your size party, you're really looking at a two or three bedroom unit.

The villa rooms are wonderful, with loads of space and other amenities, but as you've found, they can be rather pricey, particularly during a holiday week such as Easter. To see if there are any discounts which may apply to your situation, you should head over to the independent website mousesavers.com. They track every discount on the planet related to Disney travel. If there's one to be had, they'll know about it.

You may find that even with a discount, the villas are out of your price range. If this is the case, and you truly do need a full kitchen, then you might want to consider off site accommodations. There are many suite style hotels in the area. Or again, if you need the kitchen, then a condo rental may be the way to go. A good place to start is the agency allstarvacationhomes.com.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know if you have additional questions.
