HI!! I am planning a DW trip the first week of Oct 2013! Can we book hotel and park tickets and no meal plan at this time? We'd add a meal plan on later after we decide what we want!! Please advise...our first family trip! Thank you!!!

    Genevieve,

Yes, you can book a vacation to Walt Disney World without including the dining plan at the time of reservation, and still add the dining plan later on to the reservation. As I understand it, however, you do have to add the dining plan at least two weeks prior to the start of your vacation. So to be clear, while you should not have to include the dining plan right now, you really have to add it at least a month before your vacation, to be sure it is on the reservation.

Now as you can imagine, policies at Disney can change. So when you make your reservation, confirm that you can add the dining plan later with the agent. Also ask them how far in advance of the vacation that you would have to add it, if you decide you want to do that.

Have a magical (and delicious) vacation!
