We are planning to be there during The Festival of the Masters at Downtown Disney. Can't find much info about this event. Is it worth attending with DH and DD (10) who loves art? Which day would be least crowded. What can I expect to see/do? Thanks!

    Hi Maureen!

The Festival of the Masters is a great event to attend if you're an art lover! Plus, since its a Disney event, it will be super kid-friendly!

This event features works of art in many mediums: paintings, digital art, jewelry, and, often, even sidewalk works of art in chalk! The atmosphere is lighthearted and full of fun. With even the area restaurants participating to create a unique and memorable event!

In addition to browsing through great art and sampling some great food, typical events often include things like balloon animal creation and face painting. In the past, there have been opportunities to meet the cast of Cirque du Soleil as well (no word yet on if this will be a feature of the 2010 festival).

The 2010  event will be held from Nov 12th through the 14th. Admission to the festival is free. In my opinion, mornings are the best time to visit, with the days becoming more crowded towards the early afternoon.

Hope this helps! Have a great vacation!
