Welcome aboard, Sharon! You must be close to setting sail on a magical cruise with Disney! Whether you live close by and are driving or you're taking a full road trip to get to the cruise terminal, you'll be in for so much fun once you board the ship!
You didn't mention which ship you'll be sailing on or which port you'll be leaving from, but since two of the four ships are always leaving from Port Canaveral, I'm going to guess that you'll be departing from there too. Check out the
Port Address and Parking information page of Disney Cruise LIne's website. You'll see the current rates there. Perhaps some of the confusion comes from how the rates are calculated. You'll see on the site that a three night cruise will cost $64 to park for the duration of the cruise. The parking rate is determined by how many different days, not nights, that the car will be there, which is four different days. Divide the $64 by four days, and it is $16 per day. It will come out to $16 per actual day that your car is in the lot no matter how long your sailing: $80 for a four night cruise (five days of parking), $128 for a seven night cruise (eight days of parking). I hope that makes sense! Rates differ based on the home port from which you are sailing. Other ports are listed on the parking page of the website, so you can view their current rates if you're not sailing from Port Canaveral.
Having parked and cruised once before, since we usually fly in and take
Disney Cruise Line Ground Transfers, I can tell you that it was so convenient to disembark the ship, make our way through customs and walk right to the car! It couldn't be easier to park at the port at Port Canaveral!
Have fun planning this big adventure at sea, and the road trip leading up to it, Sharon!
