planning on doing a character meal breakfast at ohana. staying at sog. also heard chief mickeys is really good which would be better for family of 5 3adults and 2 girls 8&11. confused is one a buffet and the other family? help thanks for the fantasic

Hi, L!  Chef Mickey's is a buffet meal for breakfast and dinner.  It's an all you can eat, you go up to the buffet, pick what you want kinda meal.  You'll find some great character interaction with Chef Mickey and some of his friends, and the meal is fun and interactive, which can be a great choice for children.

The character breakfast at 'Ohana is the only meal you'll find there that features characters.  Usually, you can find Lilo and Stitch, along with some other familiar faces.  This meal is served family style.  A platter will be brought to your table, and though menu items are subject to change, you'll usually find eggs, potatoes, sausage, and bacon..  There are also some delicious breakfast breads and fresh fruit.  They will refill whatever you want, you just have to ask!

Dinner at 'Ohana is also served family style, but there are no characters at dinner.  It's a darn good meal, though!

My family has always preferred 'Ohana, but that's because my kids love Stitch.  I think the meal you get is equally good at either location, but the variety is better at Chef Mickey's.  Those are the things you should consider when trying to figure out which meal is better for your family.

    Happy planning, L!
