Ahoy Heidi!
Welcome aboard the Disney Parks Moms Panel. What better gift than to be sailing with Captain Mickey not ONCE but TWICE this holiday season! The more
Very Merrytime, the better!
My family is also setting out on our very first back to back adventure this November. I have spent a lot of time researching how this popular option to extend your time onboard works and have received some great tips from my friends here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel as well!
If you don't already have the same
stateroom for both cruises, I would recommend working with a
Disney Cruise Line Vacation Planning Specialist to see if this can be arranged for you. This way, your luggage can stay unpacked in your stateroom on your transition day. If this is already done, check that piece off your list!
The rest of the transition is smooth sailing! You will receive instructions in your stateroom the night before your first debarkation day that will outline your process between debarkation and embarkation of your cruises. It will include information on your specific debarkation process, important times for you throughout the day as well as what is available for you when you return to the ship.
You will still be required to present your
travel documentation to U.S. Customs and Boarder Control as well as your Key to the World Card from your first cruise. You will be one of the first to return to the ship once it is cleared for your second itinerary! My fellow panelists suggest taking a day bag with you to keep your travel documents safe and pack some books or activities for your pirate crew to pass the time in the cruise terminal until you set sail again!
Cruise back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel if you have any additional questions before your extended epic adventure, Heidi!
I hope to "sea" you again real soon! Angie
