Planning our Disneyworld vacation, and have a 4 year old girl and about 3 year old boy. We've narrowed our stay to the resorts Boardwalk inn and Wilderness Lodge. They are close in price. Can you give some pros & cons to consider?

    Greetings Mark!

I am so excited for you and your upcoming vacation! Your children are the perfect age to enjoy all the Magic the Walt Disney World Resort has to offer. Disney’s BoardWalk Inn and Disney’s Wilderness Lodge are two fabulous Resort Hotel options, and you can’t go wrong with either!

The best advantage of Disney’s BoardWalk Inn is location! A quick 10-15 minute walk to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and a five-minute walk to Epcot’s International Gateway make this an incredibly popular hotel. Toy Story Land is the perfect place for your littles to play BIG, and the Incredibles have also made their superhuman debut at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, so your family has a bunch of "funtertainment" options!

That being said, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is the ultimate in relaxation mode while simultaneously being conveniently located in the Magic Kingdom Resort area. Fantasyland is THE place for kiddos and is literally a boat ride away. We stayed at Copper Creek Villas & Cabins over Labor Day weekend, and the sail from the Resort to Magic Kingdom Park was our favorite part of the day. The last time we were there, Wilderness Lodge Mercantile had a pin that said “I’m a glamper, not a camper” and I think this sums up the hotel perfectly - rustic elegance abounds!

Mark, I wish you much pixie dust in making your decision!
