Hello! I am planning a Disneyland trip now that it’s opening up to out of state. How soon before entering Disney would you have to have a negative test? And how long is the negative test valid for if you’re going multiple days. Thank you!

Hi there, Simone! Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for taking the time to reach out and asking an excellent Disneyland Resort vacation question!

We are so happy to let you know that Disneyland Resort is continuing its phased reopening process! At this time, policies and procedures are being made with guidance from the state of California and local health officials as more data comes available. With that in mind, you may notice some updates during your upcoming stay. These include enhanced cleaning procedures across the property, temporary adjustments to promote physical distancing, and modified experiences to reduce contact. Additionally, all Guests ages two and up must wear a face mask throughout their visit except when actively eating or drinking.

Guests must also have a reservation before entering either theme park! These may now be made at the same time that you purchase your theme park tickets. It is also strongly suggested that you check the Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar prior to booking your stay. This way, you can verify availability during your anticipated travel dates!

Beginning June 15th, 2021, Guests that are not residents of California will be able to visit both Disneyland Resort theme parks! While it is strongly recommended that all Guests be fully vaccinated or obtain a negative COVID-19 test prior to entering the theme parks, neither is required at this time. It is possible for policies to change, though, so I would recommend keeping an eye on either the Disney Parks Blog website or the “Theme Parks: Know Before You Go” webpage. Both of these resources have the most updated information regarding health and safety policies in the theme parks!

Best of luck planning your summer visit to Disneyland Resort! Be sure to let us know if we can answer any other questions along the way!
