Planning my 2026 Disneyland Half Marathon weekend. I love the Pixar Place hotel, but I need a hotel with access to a microwave since my pre race meal is usually oatmeal or cream of rice. Which hotel would be the best for my stay?

    Hiya Cintia!

I am so impressed by anyone who runs for sport! One of my dear friends and fellow panelists also runs marathons and says the Disney marathons are some of her favorites. Let's race to it and discuss your microwave options during your stay.

You are correct, the standard hotel rooms at Pixar Place do not have microwaves. But! There are a few options. First, the Pixel and Sketch Suites have microwaves in the room. You can also use the coffee maker in your room to heat water and then mix your oatmeal or cream of rice (which, BTW, was my favorite breakfast growing up!). Also, most hotel Quick Service locations (the Sketchpad at Pixar Place) have general-use microwaves.

While I love Pixar Place, I think the Disneyland Hotel is the most convenient for your needs. The hotel has microwaves in its Frontier and Adventure Towers vending rooms. These common areas are accessible 24 hours a day, and the Coffee House (in the lobby) has a microwave you can use during operating hours. You can also call Guest Services if you are staying at the Disneyland Hotel to request a microwave for your room, but the request is not guaranteed. If you want a guaranteed microwave in-room, consider booking one of the Deluxe or Duo Studio Villas at the hotel. If you are considering cooking any larger meals, then a 1-Bedroom Villa or larger will have a full kitchen!

Cintia, if these options don't fit the bill, consider one of the Good Neighbor Hotels here. I filtered for microwave in the room, and there are a bunch of options! All of them are excellent choices. I've stayed at quite a few (including the Camelot during a high school choir trip!). If you have any other questions, you know where to find us. I wish you much pixie dust during your race stay!
