    We're planning a Disneyland in August 2018 and want to make sure we go before Haunted Mansion closes to decorate for Halloween. Are dates known yet when it will be closed?

    Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Haunted Mansion at Disneyland Park is one of my must-do's every trip, so I would plan a trip around the Haunted Mansion Holiday refurbishment too!

    While the dates for 2018 have not been released yet, and probably won't be for quite awhile, I would use past dates as your best indicator. This isn't an exact science and the dates are subject to change, but it will hopefully give you a good idea for 2018. In past years the attraction has closed on the following dates:
    - Monday August 28, 2017
    - Monday August 22, 2016
    - Monday August 24, 2015
    - Monday August 25, 2014

    Based on this pattern, I would estimate that it will be either Monday August 20th or 27th (more likely). While this isn't confirmed, it would be the best information we have to go off at this time! I hope this helps you plan your upcoming visit to the Happiest Place on Earth.
