Planning a Disney World trip 3/4-3/11. We purchased 5 theme park tickets with the water park and sports option- confirming that we can go to the water park on the off days we built into our schedule with those passes (Saturday 3/4 and Wednesday 3/10).

    Kraig,

Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!

If you purchase a 5-day theme park ticket package with the Water Park and Sport option, you actually have 8 days to redeem all of your admissions. That includes both the use of your theme park admissions, as well as all those fun extras, like visits to water parks or hitting the links. Specifically, to your question, yes, you can use your water park visits on days that you are not visiting a theme park.

You can also use your water park admissions on the same days as the ones when you go to a theme park. But why rush both a theme park experience and a water park escape all on the same day, when you could dedicate a unique day to each?

I think your plans to use those water park admissions on days when you are not going to the theme parks is a perfect way to get the most out of your trip. In fact, my advice to many of my friends is to break up their vacation with a water park day in the middle of their trip. It is both exhilarating and relaxing all at the same time. That break from the theme parks can help recharge your batteries, making visits to the theme parks later in the week even more fun. But your plan to start your trip with a water park day is also brilliant, as you set your trip to "Vacation Mode" right off the bat!

    BONUS TIP
If you would like to plus up your water park visits, I strongly recommend you consider booking one of their reserved spaces, like the Beachcomber Shack or the Umbrella reservations at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park. Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park has similar options as well. Just call (407) WDW-PLAY or (407) 939-7529 to make a reservation.

Please feel free to write me back directly if you have any follow-up questions.
