Planning a Disney World trip at the end of August. I have a three year old so I am looking for a resort with a splash pad and possibly a beach area. What are the best ones?

    chEARs Shelley!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Walt Disney World Resort is magical all of the time, but there is something so special about the magical “firsts” that happen when you enjoy the Resort with a kiddo. I can’t wait for you to experience it through your little one’s eyes!

There are quite a few Resorts that have exclusive water play areas for the littles. Let me highlight a few of my favorites for you!

*Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort has one of the best pools on property in addition to the Kiki Tiki Water Play area. The pouring water buckets and spouting tiki statues are some of the many reasons your kiddo will love the Resort. The hotel also has a beautiful beach area that faces Seven Seas Lagoon and Magic Kingdom Park.

*Disney’s Beach Club Resort has my family’s favorite pool area on property! Stormalong Bay has a sand-bottomed pool, a lazy river, a pirate slide, and a splash pad! It’s also within walking distance of Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, so it’s super convenient too!

*Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort has corn-hole and hammocks on its beach and a laid-back vibe that is pure island chill. The splash pad is near the main pool at Old Port Royale Centertown. The entire Resort just finished a fantastic renovation, and once it opens, the Disney Skyliner will have a stop at the Resort!

*Disney’s Art of Animation Resort has The Big Blue Pool which is the largest pool on property! It is zero entry and has a totally righteous sound system where you can swim underwater and hear tidbits from Finding Nemo! Right alongside the pool is Schoolyard Sprayground which has pop-up jets and favorite faces from the movie, which I know will delight your babe.

Shelley, I hope this gives you a head-start in your planning. In the meantime, keep on swimming towards that magical vacation!
