We are planning THE Disney trip the week of Memorial Day 2015, 6 days/7 nights. 3 kids: daughter 9, son, 6, son 2 in June. Can you recommend a Disney Resort would be great for the kids and convenient to the parks, shopping, eating?

Hi Lisa!  Your family is going to experience so many magical moments at Walt Disney World next year.  I am so excited for y'all.  Like yourself I have a family of five and I am so happy to share my favorite Walt Disney World Resort hotels to stay at with my bunch.

Disney's Port Orleans Resort- Riverside is one of my families favorite hotels, it's southern charm and rustic feel is really fun.  Rooms in the Alligator Bayou section of the Resort include two queen sized beds, along with a small pull down trundle bed that is the perfect size for your 6 or 9 year-old to sleep on.   You will also find a fun themed main pool including waterslide, table service restaurant and water taxi service to Downtown Disney. I encourage you to check out the website for Disney's Port Orleans Resort-Riverside and see all the additional activities available including fishing, bike rentals, and nightly campfires.

Disney's Art of Animation Resort is another Resort my children adore.  Family Suites can sleep up to six Guests and are themed after your favorite Disney and Pixar films including; Finding Nemo, Cars and Lion King.  In the Family Suites you will find a master bedroom with queen size bedroom and en suite  bathroom.   The main living area is equipped with a full sized pull out couch, a pull town table bed, kitchenette and second full bathroom.   These Family Suites are HUGE and provide plenty of room for your family to stretch out in comfort.  The Big Blue Pool is the largest Resort pool at Walt Disney World, and even has an underwater sound system.  Next to the pool you will find a splash pad area perfect for your 2 year-old to enjoy.

    Have a Magical Day,

    ~Jen
