Hello! We are planning a Disney trip this summer. We are planning for 5 people but may add another person closer to the trip. Is it possible once we are booked to add a person for dining plan? I know we can get tickets. Thanks!

    Hiya, Angela!

Welcome to planDisney and congratulations on your upcoming visit. Before you know it, you’ll be walking into the theme parks ready to start your day. I do recommend taking advantage of the benefits that come with your Disney Resort Reservation. The 30-minute early entry is one of my family’s favorite perks. We always plan to arrive at the theme parks first thing and if needed, we’ll return to our resort for a quick midday refresh.

As long as your resort reservation can accommodate the additional person, a Cast Member will be more than happy to add that Guest to the reservation that includes your dining plan. I myself have done this with my younger sister on more than one occasion. Something you may want to consider, is adding that person now and removing them later if needed. A Cast Member in the past has mentioned that doing this makes it a little easier for planning purposes. It also helps when it comes to scheduling your dining reservations at your 60 day window. Plus, if you are making payments towards your vacation now, that additional Guest will already be accounted for and you won’t have to add the additional costs last minute.

Since you will be visiting with a Disney Dining Plan. I do have  a snack recommendation for you. I absolutely love using my snack credits on a DOLE Whip especially when visiting during those warmer months. I usually stick to the classic DOLE Whip, but sometimes a Pineapple Float does the trick.

    Happy Dining!
