Hello! We are planning our Disney trip for Sept 25 and, for our last evening, have booked Cinderella’s Royal Table for 7:30pm (not a MNSSHP night). With the shorter opening hours in September, will this clash with fireworks or should we be OK?

    Hi Alexander!

Welcome to planDisney! That sounds like the perfect end to a Disney trip! Let’s chat about the timing of it all.

While the park hours and showtimes haven’t been announced for the end of September yet, it looks like Happily Ever After will be shown at 9:30 PM in early September. This may or may not be the same timing once your trip rolls around, so I highly recommend checking the Hours & Events Calendar leading up to your trip. That calendar usually updates about 2 months in advance.

You expect your meal at Cinderella’s Royal Table to take about 1.5-2 hours. So, if it just so happens to be that Happily Ever After is at 9:30 PM, your dinner will likely end right before the fireworks. Because of that, there are a couple of things I’d plan for.

First of all, I like to check in to table service restaurants about 15-20 minutes in advance. While it’s not guaranteed, there have been times when we were able to be seated a bit early, which helps out in situations like this when we’re hoping to get to something right after our meal.

Next, I’d plan to watch Happily Ever After from behind the castle. While you won’t get to see the projections on the castle, it’s still a very magical place to watch the fireworks! If seeing the projections is a high priority, though, then you can try to make your way around to the front of the castle. Just be aware that there will likely be big crowds ready for the show by that time.

Remember, there's also a brand new nighttime parade coming to Disney World on July 20, 2025. When the Disney Starlight parade debuts, there will be two showings each night. If that stays the same for your trip, my guess is that you might miss the first showing of the parade while you're at dinner, but you should be able to catch the second showing after Happily Ever After. Check your My Disney Experience app for showtimes when you're at the park.

I hope that helps! Wishing you the best trip! Let us know if you have any other questions as you continue to plan.
