Hi Craig,
Ooh...Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is my very
favorite special event of the entire year, so I'm thrilled to hear that you'll get to experience it!
First, I just want to make sure that you know that you'll need a separate ticket for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. While the event officially begins at 7:00 p.m., party Guests have been allowed to enter as early as 4:00 p.m., although that is always subject to change. If you'd like to spend the entire day at Magic Kingdom Park or spend the morning and early afternoon at another theme park, you'll need a regular theme park ticket for the day.
As for making it from opening to close, my family has done that
many times, and I'd be happy to share some tips with you! First, make sure you have great shoes. Tennis shoes with great support are a
must for us! Secondly, feel free to take breaks. Sit down and enjoy a delicious meal, grab a tasty snack and find a seat along the parade route 30-45 minutes before the parade begins, or relax a bit while enjoying a show like The Hall of Presidents, Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress, or Mickey's PhilharMagic. If you have little ones, I'd definitely recommend bringing or
renting a stroller for the day, or if you're traveling with someone who needs a little extra assistance,
wheelchairs are also available to rent. Of course, you're always free to head back to your Disney Resort hotel to rest a bit in the middle of the day! And finally, when my family spends 14+ hours in the parks, we try to soak up
every bit of magic and fun for the day, then schedule a little bit of a slower day for the next day.
Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Craig, and have a truly magical vacation!
Missy
