We are planning our 2nd disney trip in Dec. 2015 and are considering camping at Fort Wilderness. My youngest child is 9 and we do camp frequently so we are fairly prepared for most situations. Is Dec. weather decent for tenting.(I'm from north west PA.)

    Hi Philip,

Hello fellow Pennsylvanian! Yes, it may say NY next to my name, but I grew up in Pennsylvania.

December in Florida is tricky. I have been there when it was 85 degrees. I have also been there when it was in the 30's and there were not enough layers to keep me warm. From late November through February, there can be big swings in temperature. While you will not have snow, you may have rain.

If you can handle those conditions, then go for it. Fort Wilderness has many fun activities for guests and it is close to the Magic Kingdom.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
